First Christmas at our new/old rental house in Durham-2006. Taking this picture took lots of work. We had no tripod so Nick mounted a flat piece of wood on a stick. He then sharpened one end of the stick, stuck it in the ground and put duct tape on the flat piece to hold the camera. It worked okay; however, every time we would try to take the picture, Beaumont would not cooperate. After twenty or so minutes, our neighbor across the street who had been watching us and laughing from her living room window came over and offered to take the picture for us. It took less than a minute. Despite our frustrations, we were so happy in this picture! School was about to start and we looked forward to so much.
